OC TAE KWON DO HAD A RECORD SETTING GRADUATION OF 28 STUDENTS FOR THE TESTING FOR DECEMBER. CONGRATULATIONS, ALL!

Awesome Turnout BT&PC Aug 20!

We had a GREAT turnout last Friday night at our very 1st Belt Testing and Promotion Ceremony at our new dojang!  21 students tested that night for their new belts and we didn't have a seat open in the house!  Congratulations to all of you who worked so hard and earned your new belt!!  And a special CONGRATULATIONS to Jared Smith, Henry Cooper and Juan Carlos Paez for earning those Best of the Best Patches!!

If you couldn't make it last Friday night, we hope to see you at our next ceremony!  We will be changing our testing days to Saturdays starting next month, September 18th and will be having a potluck dinner all together to celebrate the event!  We hope you can make it!

An Exciting month of July! Event Pictures

July 10th was a great success at our OC Tae Kwon Do Championships.  Hannah Vines brought home the Female Grand Champion Trophy and Juan Carlos Paez brought home the trophy for Male Grand Champion.  Great fun and excitement all around!!

Speaking of fun and excitement, our awesome Demo Squad had the privelege and opportunity to perform for the first time outside our dojang at a church BBQ event happening at CCCLH, where Master Lee and Kelly Lee attend church.  They all did an amazing job and pleased the crowd - the biggest they had performed in front of before!  We all enjoyed good hospitality, good burgers, and the kids had fun with the carnival games after their demonstration was over.  Thank you Christ Community Church for inviting us all out to introduce OC Tae Kwon Do to you!

Also in July, we closed our doors on our dojang... and opened our brand new double doors just down the street at our new 3800 sq feet dojang!!  Pictures of the great new establishment are included below =).  If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out!

OC Tae Kwon Do Presents...

Cardio Sculpt

This cardio fitness class combines elements of martial arts, boxing, and dance to burn calories, improve muscle tone, and increase flexibility, balance and stamina (energy for life!).

Tumbling

Students can learn the fundamentals of mat tumbling including cartwheel, forward roll, back walkover, and back handspring.  This class is not geared for competitive gymnastics and does not include beam or other apparatus.

Fun Night! - June 12

Pictures from our June Fun Night Event.  We had a great time with karaoke, "fishing", sword fighting, video games, pizza, drills, games and finishing off the night with a snack and Shrek.  Hope to see you all back next month!  (Parents, you'll be ready for another night out by then, I'm sure!) =)

OC Tae Kwon Do Championships June 12

Thank you all for participating in our second in-house school competition.  Congratulations to all of you who won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.  And Congratulations to Ben Bonsangue and Kelly Lee on earning your Grand Champion trophies!

Discipline Night Sleepover

Our first Discipline Night Sleepover was a great success!  Students learned to incorporate fun, games and self-control during what was for some their very first sleepover.


We finished off the the event with our 10 Home Rules for Children:

1. Children must show respect to their parents and family members at all times
2. Children shall greet their parents with "Hi, Mom!" or "Hi, Dad!" when they enter the house and tell them "Goodbye" when they leave
3. Children shall be truthful at all times
4. Children will maintain a good relationship with their brothers and sisters
5. Children must help with household chores
6. Children will keep their own room neat and clean
7. Children must keep their body, hair and teeth clean every day.
8. Children will not interrupt adult conversations
9. Children will study their homework at school and at home
10. Children must show respect for teachers and peers at all times

OC Tae Kwon Do Championships
